Chords, Guitar Tablature & Lyrics
____________________________________________________________________________________

I think that there are two electric rhythm guitars in this song - one on rhythm and the other on the hauntingly beautiful bottle-neck slide. I'm going to show you the rhythm part which can be played on an electric or acoustic guitar. Be sure to visit my tab page in order to understand how I write tablature on the web.

THE CHORDS:

It seems the Daredevils play this version in the key of Em7 instead of Ebm7.
Sooo... to play along with the record, put a capo on the first fret.
Instead of playing Ebm7 and Abm7, play Em7 and Am7 (1/2 fret up).
Play the G, C, Dm7/A, and Cmaj7 just above capo - just like open position.
The chords will sounds like
G# (Ab), C# (Db), D#m7/A#, (Ebm7/Bb) and C#maj7 (Dbmaj7). Play the Ebm7, Bbm7, Abm7, & Bbm7 as Em7, Bm7, Am7, & Bm7.

"THE RIFF":

During the Em7 and the Am7 chords, the bass and the rhythm guitar are playing these notes:

                 Em7  Am7
1-||-----------------------------
2-||-----------------------------
3-||-----------------------------
4-||-----------------------------
5-||----------5---7--------------
6-||--------7----------5---------

Play the 1st and 2nd notes a little more quickly than the other notes!

TIP:

Not much to say - the keyboards are doing most of the chords in the song (at least that's what I hear in the recording). When you see the following phrase during the slide solos in the middle and the end of the song, play the Bm7 rather quickly:

Em7..........Bm7...Am7..........Bm7...
